Ceiba Wellness Events are designed to create something increasingly rare: an environment where accomplished people can slow down, think clearly, challenge ideas, care for themselves, and have conversations they would not normally have in their day-to-day lives.
Every participant helps shape that environment. This Code reflects the standards we ask everyone to uphold so that every Event remains a place where people feel welcome, respected, and comfortable participating fully.
This Code applies to participants attending an event, speakers, facilitators, instructors, sponsors, volunteers, guests, and members of the Ceiba Wellness team.
1. Protect the experience
We ask every Participant to contribute to the experience they would hope to find themselves.
- Treat others with professionalism, courtesy, curiosity, and respect.
- Welcome different perspectives without becoming dismissive or judgmental.
- Lean into the experience. Participate, ask questions, be present, and contribute in good faith.
- Respect that everyone arrives with different experiences, personalities, cultures, beliefs, and levels of comfort.
- If something is affecting your experience or someone else’s, speak with the Ceiba Wellness team early. Most situations are easier to resolve through conversation than silence.
2. Circle of trust
Some conversations deserve to stay exactly where they happened.
When Ceiba Wellness designates a discussion as a Circle of Trust or otherwise indicates that confidentiality applies, participants are expected to treat everything shared during that session as confidential in accordance with the Event Participation Terms.
Respect not only what others choose to share, but also what they choose not to share. Avoid repeating stories, discussing another participant’s experiences after the event, or using confidential business or personal information outside its intended context.
Likewise, exercise good judgment about your own disclosures. While we strive to create a trusted environment, each participant remains responsible for deciding what information they choose to share.
3. Participate responsably
Many events include movement, fitness classes, outdoor activities, workshops, and wellness experiences.
Listen to your body. Respect your own limitations and communicate any health concerns, injuries, or accessibility needs to instructors or the Ceiba Wellness team before participating.
Choose appropriate attire and equipment for each activity and follow the instructions provided by instructors, facilitators, and venue staff.
No one is expected to participate in every activity. Participating responsibly includes knowing when to modify an activity or step back.
4. Respect the space
Our events are designed to encourage presence.
When appropriate, we encourage participants to disconnect from phones, laptops, and other electronic devices so they can fully engage with the people around them.
Photography is welcome in appropriate settings but always consider the context. Ask permission before photographing or recording another participant, and never photograph, record, or share confidential sessions or personal moments without the express consent of those involved.
Help care for the venues we use and respect the people who host us.
5. Conduct that does not belong here
We will not tolerate behaviour that undermines the safety, integrity, or purpose of an event, including:
- harassment, intimidation, bullying, or threats;
- discrimination or abusive conduct;
- unwanted physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention;
- deliberate disruption of sessions or activities;
- disclosure of confidential information shared during confidential sessions;
- unauthorized recording or photography;
- damage to property; or
- conduct that places yourself or others at unnecessary risk.
Strong opinions and respectful disagreement are welcome. Personal attacks, hostility, gossip, or behaviour that diminishes another person’s dignity are not.
6. Alcohol and substance
Where alcohol is available, Participants are expected to consume it responsibly.
Illegal drugs and other unlawful substances are prohibited at all events.
Participants whose behaviour becomes impaired, unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with this Code may be asked to discontinue an activity or leave the event.
7. If something isn't right
If you experience or observe behaviour inconsistent with this Code, please speak with a member of the Ceiba Wellness team or contact us at hello@ceibawellness.co.
We will listen carefully, handle concerns as discreetly as reasonably possible, and seek a fair and proportionate response.
Where reasonably necessary to protect participants or the integrity of an event, Ceiba Wellness may issue a warning, restrict participation in an activity, remove a participant from the event without reimbursement, or decline future registrations.
